“Wishes under the Moon” by Kristen Ushio

This is a sonnet that my cousin's bright, sweet daughter wrote. It truly added something very, very special to Mom's service. Thank you, Kristen!

"The cold rainy night stalks my dark filled heart,
We plead for warm light to defrost out woes,
Stars dance for us, forming beautiful art,
Holding your iced hands, the moon brightly glows,
"Please do not leave my side, please don’t go'
Not enough time together, I regret
The angels watch you?  Above or below?
Will you wait for me?  It’s not my time yet.
Time passes on trains, mocking me and you.
Do you wish that there will be no more pain?
Even if you go, our love stays very true.
The waves pull me back, from my dreams that wane.
Don’t worry we will be together soon.
When you disappeared, brighter shined the moon."
