Apapane in Volcano

Apapane pair in Volcano

This beautiful pair of apapane appeared on our windowsill yesterday. They’ve been hanging around. One of them keeps flying up against the glass as though trying to get in. Kris took this amazing photo.

The apapane is a Hawaiian honeycreeper and plentiful in the rainforest where we live. The days are filled with their beautiful song.

Love our native birds in the rainforest. Love our rainforest!

Lovely, lovely, lovely. How do you two ever leave home!

Look forward to a visit, quiet enough to see some of this.
