it’s never summer: Ansel Adams, Gerry Sharpe, San Francisco, 1960 …

I’ve never been moved by Ansel Adams’ landscapes. To me, most of the images  were technically perfect, but lacked soul. I’m going to look for and study No-Nature-Ansel. I bet those images will speak to me as this portrait does.

    Although his images are amazing and took hours if not days to compose I feel the same way as you do. I think one must remember the period when he took them and also that he is the father of the zone system.
