Night Blooming Cereus in Cyan

Franco Salmoraghi shared this amazing night blooming cereus in class. It’s fragrant blossom only lasts one night. I brought one home in the hope of growing it. This one had a pink hue that I’ve never seen before. Maybe I should have left the image in color, but I loved this cyanotype-like treatment.

Lovely composition, Robin. You know you can eat the buds and blossoms too. It’s medicine for the lungs. There was a Chinese doc on Maui that taught me how to blanch then dry them to preserve them or you can cook them up in a clear soup right away. Kinda artichokie tasting. Hope to see you soon. I’ve been laid up with a back spasm. Getting slowly better. G
